Clifford Williams (born 14 December 1949) is an English musician who has been a member of the Australian hard rock band AC/DC as their bassist and backing vocalist since 1977 except for a brief retirement from 2016 to 2018. He had started his professional music career in 1967 and was previously in the British groups Home and Bandit. His first studio album with AC/DC was Powerage in 1978. The band, including Williams, was inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.

Thoughts about death, suicide, and the meaning of life. Posted at ww. liffordwilliams. Rather, they simply want the pain to go away. As Garret said, I didn’t want to die. I just wanted the pain to end.

I like to have fun and I enjoy every day of my life if you don't feel or act the same way stay the hell away from me and if you have a problem or talk bad about pit bulls or the breed and don't know what your talking about don't waste your breath or time.

As for bassist Cliff Williams' recent revelation that he was likely retiring at the end of the band's touring, Young stated that this was something that had been in the works for a while. Cliff made it known before we'd even started touring – this would be his last," stated Young. With touring starting to wind down a bit on the Rock or Bust cycle, Young admits he doesn't know what the future holds. We were committed to finishing the tour.

Onstage, Williams cedes the spotlight to vocalist Brian Johnson and lead guitarist Angus Young, moving to the front only to when it’s time to sing his parts. His bass lines are refreshingly straightforward and to the point, never drawing too much attention, but always bolstering the song. Because he fills this fundamental role so seamlessly, one might think that any bass player could do what he does. Late in 2014, AC/DC released Rock or Bust, its 12th album with Williams on bass, and 15th overall. The album was surrounded by controversy from the get-go. First, founding rhythm guitarist and primary songwriter Malcolm Young was diagnosed with dementia and had to retire from the band and the music business. He was replaced by his nephew, Stevie Young, for both the album and the tour.
