Johnny Tillotson (born April 20, 1938 in Jacksonville, Florida) is an American singer-songwriter. He enjoyed his greatest success in the early 1960s, when he scored nine top-ten hits on the pop, country, and adult contemporary Billboard charts, including "Poetry in Motion" and the self-penned "It Keeps Right On a-Hurtin'" - "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" /. 89. 94. I Can't Help It (If I'm Still in Love with You)" is a song written and originally recorded by Hank Williams on MGM Records. It hit number two on the Billboard country singles chart in 1951. In his autobiography, George Jones printed the first six lines of the song and stated, "Its lyrics couldn't be more simple - or profound.

chart, and a cover of Hank Williams' "I Can't Help It (If I'm Still in Love with You)" (backed by another Williams standard, "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry") made the pop Top 40 and the easy listening Top Ten. When Tillotson returned to recording in early 1963, his new self-written single, "Out of My Mind," was another country-style ballad, although it did not reach the country charts and peaked at number 24 on the Hot 100 in April. After one more Cadence single, a cover of Willie Nelson's "Funny How Time Slips Away" culled from the year-old It Keeps Right on a-Hurtin' album that became a minor chart entry, Tillotson formed his own production company and leased his recordings to MGM Records, starting with his version of the recent country number one by Ernest Ashworth, "Talk Back Trembling. Lips," released in October 1963.

But I can't help falling in love with you. Would it be a sin. If I can't help falling in love with you. Take my hand, take my whole life too. For I can't help falling in love with you. Like a river flows surely to the sea.

Can't Help But Wonder Where I'm Bound. I Don't Hurt Anymore. I Don't Know Where I'm Bound. I Drove Her Out Of My Mind. I Feel Better All Over. I Forgot More Than You'll Ever Know. I Got A Boy And His Name Is John.
