Garcia is Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia's first solo album, released in 1972. Records offered the Grateful Dead the opportunity to cut their own solo records, and Garcia was released around the same time as Bob Weir's Ace and Mickey Hart's Rolling Thunder. Unlike Ace, which was practically a Grateful Dead album, Garcia was more of a solo effort, as Garcia played almost all the instrumental parts.

The Promised Land (Sagol 59 album). It was released on April 17, 2015

Talking about Ace in an interview in the early 1980’s Weir said: That was a Grateful Dead record, as far as I’m concerned. And I don’t do that material with my side groups It was all me singing, all my songwriting. I started by using a couple of different musicians, and it just settled in to being a Grateful Dead record right quick. See an error? Let us know. Grateful Dead (Skull & Roses). Grateful Dead Records. The third LP on the Grateful Dead label. It was recorded at Bob Weir's studio during the Dead's break from touring in 1975. Garcia also spoke about Blues For Allah in a later interview: We kind of made a ground rule for that record: ‘Let’s make a record where we get together every day and we don’t bring anything i.The whole idea was to get back to that band thing, where the band makes the main contribution to the evolution of the material. So we’d go into the studio and jam for a while, and then if something nice turned up we’d say, ‘Well let’s preserve this little hunk and work with it, see if we can’t do something with i. And that’s how we did most of the album.

Reflections (Jerry Garcia album). Reflections is Jerry Garcia's third solo album, released in 1976. Partway through production, Garcia stopped recording with his solo band and brought in the members of the Grateful Dead, who performed on four songs, plus a bonus jam from 2004 release.
