An oral history/documentary initiative, collecting stories about childbirth in all settings from. It is a meeting place of many things - joy and fear, pleasure and pain, spiritual and physical.

Goal: I am currently the lead for an oral history of childbirth in Wales between 1948-1970, with interview data collected from mothers, midwives and doctors. Methods: Qualitative Data Analysis, Qualitative Interview, Oral history.

Nora Weatherby is an oral historian and writer. Born and raised in Upstate New York, Nora has spent a handful of years traveling, singing, and collecting stories and inspirations from around the world. The Birth Narratives Oral History Project is a meeting of two passions – birth and listening. She sees this project as an opportunity to reflect, dialogue and listen compassionately to a variety of voices
