When Enriquez's first single became a success, larger recording companies began to take notice. Born and raised in San Francisco, California, Jocelyn Enriquez is the daughter of Filipino parents from Manila and the province of Pangasinan. By late April 1997, Enriquez's first single "Do You Miss Me?" had placed 49th on the Billboard Top 100 singles chart, 7th in Singapore, and among the top 20 in Canada. Then she had the hit song, "A Little Bit of Ecstasy". every day in New York City, one could hear "Do You Miss Me?" or "A Little Bit.

Jocelyn Enriquez (born December 28, 1974) is an American dance-pop singer from San Francisco. She is of Filipino descent; her parents are from the province of Pangasinan. She graduated from Pinole Valley High School in 1993. Her debut album, Lovely was released in 1994 on Classified Records. The album featured two moderate chart hits with the singles "I've Been Thinking About You" and "Make It Last Forever". In 1996, she moved to Tommy Boy Records, where she released her first major hit single, "Do You Miss Me?" in late 1996 and her second album, Jocelyn in early 1997 In 2003, Enriquez released her third album, All My Life, and started her own record label, JEM Entertainment.
Enriquez comes late in the freestyle game, but her album and singles point to directions the music might head for survival. One sure strategy is the proliferation of the ballads included here. The original freestyle beats have been altered, and the gap between these dance cuts and the dance-pop, hip-hop, and R&B recordings they are played next to on the radio is getting narrower all the time. Do You Miss Me" is a jukebox revelation as well as a dance floor hit; such a perfect mix of traditional pop songwriting and floor-filling beats is sadly rare. Several of us visited the DJ booth almost immediately and we were told about Jocelyn. When I purchased the CD for myself, I found that it had a variety of dance to smooth and mellow love. can't wait to hear more.
