Stray Cats ‎– "Live" Struttin'. Label: Big Ear Music ‎– EAZ 4005. As far as the performances from the Cats go it is a no brainier to get this because no matter what they do or how the sound sounds on record "they" being the the coolest cats on the fence, are what makes this release worth having. The Stray Cats are timeless and are forever a huge part of music history in my book and they will always be to me (and a lot of fans), very cool and amazing artists. Everything they do is top notch!!! This release is odd from a technical standpoint in it's sound and compilation, but still very very cool to have in your collection. If anything it looks.

The Stray Cats are an American rockabilly band formed in 1980 by guitarist/vocalist Brian Setzer (Bloodless Pharaohs/Brian Setzer Orchestra), upright bassist Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom (drums) in the Long Island town of Massapequa, New York.

Struttin' Live captures the Stray Cats at various live performances throughout their career doing just what they did best - struttin’. Brian Setzer’s vocals swoop and flutter, falling, at times, somewhere in between the highly emotive Elvis and similarly styled, but more subdued, Vincent. His fat-cat Gretsch-guitar sound and Berryesque riffs reaffirm that this is the music of the '50s, regardless of when it was actually written or performed. Slim Jim Phantom rolls, rims and finesses his snare drum, filling the drumscape to the extent that a larger drumkit would be superfluous

The Stray Cats were always a great bar band, so another live collection is always welcome. And this release boasts excellent sound quality. But the packaging is odd, to say the least. Somehow one song is actually repeated twice on the CD (the liner notes refer to it as "Make Up Your Mind" and "Please Make Up Your Mind"; in fact it's "Double Talkin' Baby"), and producer Dave Edmunds is listed as a band member. Great sound and Selection on this album. The only drawbacks are that the sound quality on Be Bop a Lula is bad and one song is repeated. But if you can get past this, the album should very well stay in your cd player for a long time. Good price too. A must have for Stay Cats fans and Rockabilly fans in general.
