Reviews (1)
This out-of-print album is truly a gem! Tastefully appropriate arrangements using guitar, trumpet, hand drums, etc, supervised by Harry Belafonte. Released in the USA in 1960 or 1962 -- Kapp KL 1274 (monaural LP), KS 3274 (stereo LP); it was re-released as a CD in 1994 in France -- “Le Monde du Myriam Makeba” (Sonodisc CD 5563). Some songs appear on various other compilations as well. Perhaps there is another re-release out there; I hope so.
