I'm looking for a song from the early 2000s, I was sure it was called Ophelia but I've tried every song called that and can't find it! Lyrics as I remember them are "Ophelia it's me where did you go last night, all I need is something t. .And also it had the words "melancholy on my shoulder" it was a male singer probably a male band and it was a slow song!!

It was primarily driven by three successive music recording formats, the 33 1⁄3 rpm LP record, the audiocassette and the music Compact disc. Rock musicians were often at the forefront of the era.

Their second album, 1971’s Maggot Brain is as savage and primal as anything Detroit spewed up in the early 70s, up there with Alice and Iggy and the MC5, and you can also dance to it, if you have 17 legs and a medicine cabinet full of hallucinogens. Not the title track, though. The title track is another journey altogether. Her vocals are a sexual bark, the rhythms like iron bars smacking your skull, the funk so deep, dark, and dirty they can get you pregnant if you stand too close. Her trio of mid-70’s solo records (Betty Davis, They Say I’m Different, Nasty Gal) are breathlessly enthralling. The Ditalians were a soul group from Cincinatti, Ohio. In the early 70s they were approached by Dale Warren, a string-arranger and producer at Stax records, Motown’s chief rivals. Influenced by the early 70s wave of ‘concept albums’ by prog and hard rockers like Floyd, Tull and Yes, he wanted to create the first R&B concept record.

It’s got a ridiculously powerful bassline for a soul track!’ Chosen by hip hop maverick DJ Yoda. Inspired by the actual heatwave of 1963, this doo-wop gem from the classic Motown songwriting nd team hits every mark helped along by Richard ‘Pistol’ Allen’s drumwork. Martha and her Vandellas make it look all too easy, with vocals that tip perfectly between sassy and sensual. Chosen by global crate-digger, producer and radio don Throwing Shade. It gradually builds until an almost impatient Redding is yelping, frantically tumbling over words – all in the name of being tender.

Running from the late 1950s through the year 2000, this list gathers together the best work from the greatest soul artists of all time into one convenient rundown, allowing you to browse and discover a diverse collection of this stirring music. Soul music combines traditional American gospel and rhythm & blues (R&B) style, collecting catchy hooks, heavy improvisation and a tense vocal sound.

FunkMySoul’s only purpose is to spread Soul, Funk, R’& ‘B, Jazz/Funk, Soul/Jazz and related from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, almost exclusively from the original vinyl. Our vision is to create a collection of the most important artists and albums of these genres, a musical encyclopaedia if you will. Simtec & Wylie – 1971 – Gettin’ Over The Hump. Simtec & Wylie were an American soul duo from Chicago active in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The group was composed of Walter Simtec Simmons and Wylie Dixon, and had a hard soul sound similar to that of Sam & Dave. As Simtec Simmons & Wylie Dixon, they issued Socking.

Shouldn't a best-of the '60s CD only include songs from the '60s? Last time you checked, "Lonely Teardrops" came out in 1958, and "Only You," by the Platters, was released in 1955. Despite these errors, Soul Classics: Best of the 60s, which is an assortment of soul from all corners, makes for good listening. The smooth baritone of Jerry Butler makes the message of "Only the Strong Survive" that much more real

Great Deep Soul is a Sorcery in Dark Souls 3. To cast a Sorcery, you must use a Staff or Special Weapons that can cast Sorcery. I got summoned to invade by Aldritch Faithful that I had equipped right after gaining the rank but before getting the spell. What can I do? Reply Replies (2). 0. +1. 1. -1.

Aerosmith's official music video for 'Hole In My Soul'. I'm down a one way street With a one night stand With a one track mind Out in no man's land (The punishment sometimes don't seem to fit the crime). Yeah there's a hole in my soul But one thing I've learned For every love letter written There's another one burned (So you tell me how it's gonna be this time). Is it over Is it over 'Cause I'm blowin' out the flame.
