WHERE ONDE Rua Dom Pedro V, 89 (Príncipe Real). CONTACT CONTACTO 213 424 729. CLOSING DAY DIA DE ENCERRAMENTO Opens every day, Abre todos os dias. It looks like an antiques shop and could very well be a museum, but it's a bar that opens late in the afternoon. You must ring a bell to get inside, and once you do you find one of the city's most authentic spots. There's a total of five rooms decorated with curious objects (miniature trains, toy soldiers, old mugs, etc. from the owner's private collection), to admire as you sip a cocktail
Pavilhao Chines was way too much fun. it kind of reminded me of drinking in someone's grandparents' house. there was an abundance of alcohol: every cocktail under the sun and then a hundred more that I never even heard of. a little steep but the funky atmosphere makes it worth it. - the waiters were older men in formal waiter attire straight outta.
Pavilhão Chinês" Lisbon is a quirky bar founded in 1986 which had me dumbfounded the first time I entered, and arguably one of the best places to out to! . Founded in 1986, Pavilhão Chinês occupied what once was a former grocery store. And ever since I’ve known this bar, the service has remained impeccable. The cocktails are the strong point of the house: the presentation is flawless and they’re great. Try one, I’m pretty sure you won’t regret it.
When you're ensconced in a striped bench at this bar in Barrio Alto, you'll feel like you're in a curios shop or offbeat museum. Bar as gallery, with plenty of antiques.
As a bar, Pavilhão Chinês dates from 1986. These dates can be read in the beautiful entrance of the house, but the real treat is inside. The old grocery shelves and cellaretes are full of thousands of collectible objects, antiques of different origins and stories, covering the entire five rooms of the bar and evoquing a house of curiosities. It is the work of Luís Pinto Coelho, who made Pavilhão Chinês a true wonder of Lisboa. The name of this unique bar comes from the grocery store that used to be located here since 1901. As a bar, Pavilhão Chinês dates from 1986.
