The Hawks and the Sparrows (Italian: Uccellacci e uccellini, literally "Birds of prey and Little Birds") is a 1966 Italian film directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini. It was entered into the 1966 Cannes Film Festival where a "Special Mention" was made of Totò, for his acting performance. The film can be described as partially neorealist, and deals with Marxist concerns about poverty and class-conflict.
Morricone 60 is the first album of Ennio Morricone’s greatest hits conducted, recorded and curated by Morricone himself – and aims to create a legacy for his fans to enjoy. It sees the celebrated Maestro performing some of his greatest film music from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly to his recent Academy Award-winning score for Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight (released earlier this year on Decca). The album marks Ennio Morricone’s 60th anniversary as a composer and conductor and features brand new recordings with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, with whom he’s collaborated on major. Title: The Hawks and the Sparrows (1966). Hawks and Sparrows(1965) gets some good acting from the leads Toto and Ninetto Davoli. On casting people for Pasolini's film he remarked("I use both actors and non-actors, and I am not interested in their ability. I take them for what they are") with an interesting line. This quote from Pasolini is important in the casting of Hawks and Sparrows(1965) because of his personal perference of non actors over actors. The first film I have seen with the actor Toto. Ninetto Davoli does a decent job for a person who never acted before in his life.
Uccellacci e uccellini (1966). Uccellacci e Uccellini, known in English as The Hawks and the Sparrows, was a critically acclaimed Italian drama, the fourth film directed by the great Pierpaolo Pasolini. Track Listing: 1. Uccellacci e Uccellini – Titoli di Testa (performed by Domenico Modugno) (2:26), 2. Aforismi (1:53), 3. Teatrino all’Aperto (1:09), 4. Nidi di Rondine (1:03), 5. Scuola di Ballo Al Sole (2:36), 6. S. Francesco Parla Agli Uccelli (1:27), 7. Il Corvo Professore. The score is quite short, and so the soundtrack album is based around multiple extended variations on these two main themes, some of which are close to 10 minutes long.

Quentin Tarantino’s Hateful Eight is the first time that the legendary composer Ennio Morricone has scored an entire movie for the spaghetti Western–loving director. Indeed, it’s the first time any composer has scored an entire movie for Tarantino, who generally prefers his music repurposed.
