The Margin is a live album by Peter Hammill, documenting early nineteen-eighties concerts by his K Group. Hammill was K (on vocals, piano and guitar), Nic Potter was Mozart (on bass guitar), Guy Evans was Brain (on drums), and John Ellis was Fury (on backing vocals and guitar). The album was originally released as a double album on Foundry Records in 1985.
Only difference to Peter Hammill & The K Group - The Margin + is made up by a different Pressing-Plant, indicated by a different matrix-number and - dependent on that - different IFPI's. Remastered version of the original "The Margin" double LP (the 1985 released version from Virgin Peter Hammill & The K Group - The Margin (Live) omitted the track "The Second Hand" - which is included here, but in another version) + (hence!) some more live recordings
