Born Leroy Phillip Mitchell in Louisville, Kentucky on 27 June 1944. By 1978 he was on the West Coast to cut the first of two albums he did for Atlantic Records. Make It Good' (as Prince Phillip Mitchell) from which two singles were taken. One On One, Only Smoke Remains' which made the R&B charts and 'You're All I Got In The World, Falling From Heaven'. Another album followed in 1979 called 'Top Of The Line'. Again two singles were released, both making the charts. He composed the whole album and 'You're Gonna Come Back To Love' as a minor hit. It’s just as tight as the A side. Starting with the first cut You’ll Throw Bricks at Him, an unusual title for a song. And when artists use unusual song titles most times the title is more creative than the song. Although his name is Prince Phillip Mitchell, he is definitely a King on this album. Wow. By Donald E. I never heard this album the first time around, when it was released on vinyl in 1978, but I recently bought a CD compilation put out by Kent/Ace titled Something to Do: The Philip Mitchell Songbook.

From the Beginning is the first compilation album by the English rock band Small Faces. It was released by Decca Records of group material after the band had left the record label; it consisted of the band's Decca hit singles combined with various unreleased recordings. The album rose to Number 17 in the UK Album Chart. The album was released by Don Arden on Decca after the group had made a switch to the Immediate label headed by Andrew Loog Oldham.
