This album begins the transition from country crooner to Gulf icon for Jimmy Buffett. The music is light and airy, and his stories begin to take new meaning. Buffett is a clever writer, and that gift sometimes that overshadows his ability to strum a mean guitar. The lazy feeling the album evokes is its strength, and coupled with solid stories makes it an early peak for Jimmy Buffett. Key tracks are The Great Filling Station Holdup, He Went To Paris, Grapefruit-Juicy Fruit, and Why Don't We Get Drunk.
