This two-fer combines two classic records by the Everly Brothers, simply the greatest close harmony duo in rock history. Containing both of the duo's 1958 eponymous debut and the 1984 Rhino compilation THE FABULOUS STYLE OF THE EVERLY BROTHERS, this collection features many of the songs that sent them and their harmonic thirds to the upper reaches of the Billboard charts: "Bye Bye Love," "When Will I Be Loved," "Wake Up Little Suzie," and "All I Have to Do is Dream," among many other lesser known gems
The Everly Brothers was an American (Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, USA) duo of singing brothers: Don and Phil, (Don Everly, born Isaac Donald Everly February 1, 1937, Brownie, Kentucky; Phil Everly, born Phillip Everly, January 19, 1939, Chicago, Illinois, died January 3, 2014, in Burbank, California). The pair of male siblings became top-selling country-influenced rock and roll performers, best known for their steel-string guitar playing and close harmony singing. Their greatest period of chart success came between 1957 and 1961.
