The band's second album under Warner, Tokyo Classic (2002) was a commercial success, selling over 1,000,000 copies.
Released in 2007, Funfair continued this streak, moving to the number two slot on the Oricon charts upon release. The inclusion of songs "Tales" and ". G" in Japanese commercials helped keep the album in the public eye, furthering the Rip Slyme sound.
